Background

Moro Hub, part of Digital DEWA (the digital branch of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority), has formed a strategic partnership with Liferay, a global leader in digital experience platforms, and CODE81, a regional technology consultancy.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed during GITEX Global by Mohammed Bin Sulaiman, CEO of Moro Hub, Moussalam Dalati, General Manager of Liferay for the Middle East, Africa, and France, and Nader Paslar, General Manager of CODE81.

Moro Hub CEO Mohammed Bin Sulaiman said the collaboration reflects the company’s mission to shape the UAE’s journey toward becoming a global digital capital. He added that the alliance aligns with the nation’s digital economy strategy and Net Zero ambitions, helping organisations accelerate innovation and transformation.

The partnership combines Liferay’s DXP technology, CODE81’s local expertise, and Moro Hub’s secure hosting to build a strong platform for digital transformation. It will help public and private organizations provide trusted, scalable, and AI-powered digital services.

According to a BCG report, 81% of GCC citizens are satisfied with digital services, compared to 65% globally, highlighting the growing demand for advanced digital experiences.

Nader Paslar of CODE81 said the collaboration will empower organisations to “accelerate innovation and shape the UAE’s digital economy,” while Liferay’s Dalati emphasised the importance of “citizen-centric, AI-powered experiences” in building the region’s digital future.

The agreement shows that both sides want to advance the UAE’s digital transformation through innovation, security, and sustainability, helping the country grow and stay competitive.
